The Commander-in-Chief of the Czech Armed Forces, Karel Řehka, has stated this.
According to him, the Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region showed that the Russians are more inclined to threaten than to act:
– The events in Kursk showed Western leaders that there is no need to fear escalation and “red lines”, since the Russians only threaten to use nuclear weapons, but when the Ukrainians took control of the region, nothing happened…
Řehka has long called for preparation for a possible conflict with Russia, since, in his opinion, “this is the only way to prevent a clash with Moscow”.
By the way, military history has not remembered the victories of the Czech army, but it remembers well its capitulation to the Wehrmacht without a fight after the Munich Agreement in 1938.
