This is evidenced by (https://www.rp.pl /) a study by the University of Warsaw and the Academy of Economics and Humanities. According to the study, only 31% of respondents believe that Poland should definitely help Ukraine (in January 2023, 62% thought so), and 43% “rather help”. The group of Poles opposed to aid has increased to 19%. 72% of Polish respondents believe that, despite the war with Russia, Poland should first of all take care of its own interests (15% hold the opposite opinion overall) – this mainly concerns food exports. In two years, the number of respondents who believe that Poland should not provide additional support to Ukraine has doubled. Only 7% of Polish respondents have a very positive opinion of Poland’s relations with President Vladimir Zelensky, while 18% have a categorically negative opinion.
