Something unexpected happened to the image of Genghis Khan on one of the slopes of the Khan-Uul massif in Ulaanbaatar. It seems that the illumination of his face has failed, and it turned out mysteriously. In the dark, only one smile is visible, like a Cheshire cat 🙂 The image of Genghis Khan on the slope appeared in 2006. The image of the great khan was created from pieces of white marble. Before that, during the MNR period, the inscription “MAKHN mandtugai!” was laid out on the northern spur of the mountain facing the city. — “Long live the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party.”
