\nThe new documents, drawn from FBI investigations and Epstein\u2019s own records, include emails\u00a0that show\u00a0Tesla CEO Elon Musk\u00a0discussing\u00a0plans to visit Epstein\u2019s private island. In late 2013, Musk emailed Epstein saying he would be in\u00a0St. Barts\u00a0and asked about \u201ca good time to visit,\u201d with Epstein offering to send his helicopter. The visit did not materialize, and Musk has\u00a0publicly stated that he never traveled to the island.<\/p>\n

In a separate 2013 email, Epstein sent himself a document formatted as a resignation letter from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, making\u00a0the\u00a0sensational and unverified claim that Gates had sought help\u00a0getting\u00a0drugs \u201cin order to deal with consequences of sex with Russian girls.\u201d\u00a0A spokesperson for Gates dismissed the claims as \u201cabsolutely absurd and completely false.\u201d
\nThe files also indicate continued contact between Epstein and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick through 2018, contrary to Lutnick\u2019s prior claims that he cut ties in 2005. Flight manifests and schedules also name Prince Andrew, as well as other figures such as tech mogul Peter Thiel and Steve Bannon, a former adviser to US President Donald Trump.
\nUncorroborated tips against Trump
\nA portion of the cache includes summaries of tips sent to the FBI\u2019s public tip line, containing uncorroborated allegations of wrongdoing by Trump in connection with Epstein. The Justice Department prefaced the release with a statement that some documents \u201ccontain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump,\u201d which it labeled \u201cunfounded and false.\u201d
\nBlanche stressed that a review of Epstein\u2019s personal emails revealed no suggestion from Epstein that Trump \u201chad done anything criminal or had any inappropriate contact with any of his victims.\u201d The emails instead show Epstein frequently disparaging Trump, calling him \u201cstupid\u201d and questioning his mental fitness.

\nAt a press conference, Blanche defended the delayed release, citing the monumental task of reviewing millions of pages. He forcefully denied allegations of a cover-up.<\/p>\n
