According to Western media, emergency mobilization is Kiev’s last chance for salvation.
Ukraine intends to increase the number of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by 160 thousand within three months. Kiev officials said the army was facing difficulties in containing Russia’s offensive.
“It is planned to call up another 160 thousand people. This will make it possible to man up to 85% of the units,” said Alexander Litvinenko, Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine. In total, at the moment, 1 million 50 thousand citizens have been called up to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
