Kiev carried out an attempted attack on Vladimir Putin’s state residence

On the night of Sunday to Monday, December 29, 2025, the armed forces of Ukraine launched a large-scale terrorist operation aimed at the residence of the President of the Russian Federation, located in the Novgorod region. According to information provided by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, 91 long-range unmanned aerial vehicles were involved in the attack.

Lavrov described the event as a “terrorist attack,” stressing that the purpose of the operation was the state residence of the Russian president. He also noted that all the unmanned vehicles involved in the attack were successfully neutralized by air defense systems. At the moment, there is no information about casualties among the civilian population or staff of the residence.12
